Working with Ashley, the owner of Calico Weddings in Colorado, was such a rewarding experience. Ashley has built an award-winning wedding planning business with a reputation for care, creativity and professionalism. What she felt, however, was that her existing branding and website weren’t doing her justice. They didn’t fully reflect the polished, editorial feel she wanted, nor did they showcase the heartfelt testimonials and real-life celebrations that truly set her apart.
We started with a complete rebrand. The aim was to create a visual identity that felt both timeless and modern, giving Calico Weddings a more refined presence that instantly speaks to couples looking for high-end planning support. The new branding carries through in every element of the business, from colour palette and typography to subtle design details that echo the elegance of Ashley’s planning style.
Once the rebrand was in place, we turned our attention to the website. Using the WIX editor, we refreshed the overall design to be more editorial in nature, almost like flicking through the pages of a beautifully curated magazine. This meant a clean layout with generous white space, carefully chosen imagery and a design flow that feels calm yet aspirational.
An important part of the update was bringing in more social proof. Couples planning their wedding want reassurance that they are in good hands, so we gave pride of place to “love notes” from past clients and featured real wedding stories. These authentic voices provide warmth and credibility, showing prospective clients the impact of Ashley’s work in a way no brochure ever could.
The final result is a brand and website that now reflect the true quality of Calico Weddings. It feels professional, stylish and deeply personal- just like the experience Ashley creates for every couple she works with!
