Craig from Trade Built Energy first started building his own WIX website, but like many business owners, he quickly realised it was eating into his time. Between running the business and managing customer projects, there just weren’t enough hours in the day to keep chipping away at the site.
That’s where I came in.
This project was a real personal favourite to work on. My own home runs entirely off-grid, so I’ve got a soft spot for anything related to solar and energy efficiency. Trade Built Energy specialises in helping homes and businesses make the most of solar systems, batteries, and sustainable energy solutions, so it was a perfect fit.
We kicked off by keeping things clean and user-friendly. The site design follows Trade Built Energy’s branding colours to create a consistent, professional look. I selected a simple, legible typography suite to ensure readability across all devices. It’s not just about good looks either – the site is built with mobile responsiveness and SEO in mind. Every page has been fully optimised on-site for search engines, from headings and metadata to image alt text and loading speed.
One of the main goals was to communicate clearly what services Craig offers, without overwhelming visitors. I designed a layout that gives people exactly what they need – quick answers, contact options, and a sense of trust from the get-go. Whether it’s a homeowner looking to go solar or a business wanting to cut energy costs, the website makes it easy to get in touch.
The final result is a site that Craig can confidently share with customers and continue to grow as his business expands.
